Grateful Dead : Madison Square Garden '81

Legendární rocková skupina ze San Francisca vznikla v roce 1965 a patří k zásadním reprezentantům zlatého věku rockové hudby. Na přelomu šedesátých a sedmdesátých let se proslavila dlouhými a divokými improvizacemi během koncertních vystoupení. V tvorbě pracovala s vlivy nejrůznějších hudebních stylů od rocku a psychedelie, přes folk a bluegrass, až třeba ke gospelu, jazzu nebo reggae. Rozpadla se v roce 1995, kdy zemřela vůdčí osobnost skupiny, kytarista a zpěvák Jerry Garcia. V roce 2007 skupina obdržela Grammy za celoživotní přínos.

V rámci tradiční katalogové kampaně zaměřené na rockové tituly vychází znovu celá řada historicky zásadních a důležitých alb. Vinylové reedice se prostřednictvím akce Rocktober 23 mimo jiné dočkala také jedna z mnoha koncertních nahrávek Grateful Dead.
